Dave Smith has been vice-president and a co-founding member of Viewpoint Systems since 1992. As a senior software engineer, Dave has been involved in various Viewpoint Systems projects. His concentration has been in developing and managing technically demanding software for many different operating systems. Dave has also worked with many outside companies to develop and assist new designs to enhance the retrieval of end-user data. Dave has had great success in implementing a wide variety of OS drivers for various pieces of hardware that are used by both Viewpoint Systems and its clients. Dave has over 20 years of professional experience. Dave was employed with Keithley Asyst Software Technologies prior to Viewpoint Systems. Dave holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. |
Andrew Morehouse joined Viewpoint Systems in 2002, and transitioned to Viewpoint Data Management as Director of Product development at its founding in January of 2007. Originally a Systems Engineer, Andrew designed embedded data acquisition systems for monitoring and controlling client systems, as well as commanding and testing custom client modules. As a Software Engineer, he spent time on the design and implementation of User Experience and Interaction interfaces. Most recently, Andrew has designed Web Based Applications for both locally hosted solutions and remotely deployed client implementations. Andrew’s previous professional experience includes working with Xerox Research Center and the National Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery at Rochester Institute of Technology. |
Jim Dyer joined Viewpoint Data Management in 2007 from Frontier Corporation where he was Director of Sales. At Frontier, he led sales and service teams supporting major commercial and government accounts. Jim’s extensive experience in sales management makes him a welcome addition to the Aperio team. Two decades of leadership and business development with firms including AT&T and PAETEC bring key skills to Viewpoint. His work with hardware and software products across multiple sectors provides deep perspective and understanding to this dynamic organization. Jim graduated SUNY Fredonia in 1986, pursued a Masters Degree in Economics at Syracuse University in 1997, and holds an MBA from the Bittner School of Business at St. John Fisher College. He serves on the board of the Penfield Economic Development Corporation in Penfield, NY. |

Jim Campbell has been president of Viewpoint Systems since its inception in 1992. Jim maintains an active role in the day-to-day operation of Viewpoint. He has over 30 years experience and strength in system integration, project management, software development, numerical / statistical computing, and signal and image processing. Jim’s active involvement in scheduling, supervising, planning, designing and creating has made him a great leader with respect to the success of Viewpoint today and mapping Viewpoint’s future. Jim serves on the executive board of the Control System Integrators Association, a worldwide organization dedicated to the promotion of best practices for system integration, and the Industrial Advisory Board for Computer Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Rochester and a B.S. in Physics from Bucknell University. |
Fred Genett is a co-founding member of Viewpoint Systems and currently serves as vice-president. Fred’s strength in business development, employee growth, and as a company liaison for managed accounts has made him a crucial link to the success of Viewpoint Systems. With his support and direction, Viewpoint is being proactive with respect to clients needs, becoming a true partner in the systems engineering industry. Fred has over twenty six years of professional experience. Prior to Viewpoint Systems, Fred worked for the University of Rochester, Hampshire Instruments and Keithley Asyst Software Technologies. Fred first received a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and then switched to engineering through Electronic Technology at Monroe Community College, Electrical Engineering at the University of Rochester, and finally matriculating into the MSEE program at Rochester Institute of Technology. |
Stu McFarlane is a co-founding member of Viewpoint Systems and currently serves as vice-president. Stu’s primary responsibility is the development of custom software, systems integration and new products. He works closely with our largest managed accounts, many of which are Fortune 100 companies. Stu is embedded within our client’s organizations and works hand and hand with our engineers in solving difficult challenges. His engineering knowledge and approach is geared to providing future solutions to our client’s problems / issues that eliminate both soft and hard dollars costs which can drastically reduce our clients overall expenses. Stu has over 20 years of professional experience. Prior to Viewpoint, Stu was employed with Delco Products and Keithley Asyst Software Technologies.Stu holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Engineering and Management Institute. |
